Out With the Old - In With the New

It was a little sad... forsythia and cherry blossoms gone, azaleas long ago faded and fallen to the ground. But then, as quickly as the former disappeared, new colors appeared all over the city. Take a look at what greats us as we wander the sreets of Daejeon.

Tulip Trees

Snowflower Trees

Lotus Blossoms  - Its a little early yet.
Daisies

Petunias
These are all over the city, various colors, along bridges, at intersections, and elsewhere. I counted the boxes going across one of the bridges we cross frequently. One hundred and forty boxes on EACH side - each box 16 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. We've noticed no dead flowers! Workers busy dead-heading petunias? That's our guess.

Appple blossoms

Prarie roses ( or the Korean equivalent)

"We Don't Know What This Is Tree"

Various wildflowers

Lovely white blossoms on something we call our "Mystery Tree"

And.... ROSES and  ROSES and ROSES! ALL OVER!
In some sections of the city, they line sidewalks for a half a mile.
They climb up trees and hang from the tops of doorways. Beautiful!
